A charming shopping experience in the sunny south

Since its grand opening in March 2021, our store has become a well-loved part of Konstanz’s city center. Located in a beautiful courtyard in the historic old town, it’s just a short walk from the shores of Lake Constance and the Swiss border. On a sales area of roughly 1,100 square meters, customers can regularly discover new highlights to browse, explore, and shop.

A team that sticks together

Our Outlet Store in Konstanz is home to 38 colleagues who all share one goal: creating a special experience for every customer, from the first hello to their checkout. We have an open, inclusive culture where everyone is accepted for who they are, and that’s something you can feel right away. The result? A diverse, supportive work environment where the team truly has each other’s backs.

What makes our Konstanz Outlet Store stand out is its bright and open design. Large windows and high ceilings create an inviting atmosphere for both customers and employees. Add the charming courtyard setting in the middle of the city and the proximity to Lake Constance, and it’s easy to see why the team considers it one of the most beautiful stores in the entire Outlet universe.

Special offers and experiences

In summer, many tourists and walk-in customers visit the store. Throughout the rest of the year, we welcome a loyal base of regular shoppers with many of them coming from Switzerland. As a result, one special service for our Swiss customers is the VAT refund option.

A look behind the scenes

A typical day in the store starts at 9:45 a.m. with a short team check-in to get everyone aligned and share any important updates or upcoming specials or events. Then it’s time to open the doors and welcome customers. Throughout the day, the team keeps an eye on key metrics to make sure everything is running smoothly and our targets are being met. And when extra hands are needed, everyone jumps in to help.

Of course, there can be challenges too, especially when stock runs low or the store gets very busy. Even then, the team’s goal remains the same: to make sure every customer leaves the store with a great experience and ideally, a Zalando shopping bag in hand.

Growing together, celebrating together

An open mindset, strong communication, and a willingness to learn make the team in Konstanz what it is: strong, supportive, and successful. Our successes are meant to be celebrated regularly, like we did last summer with an outing on Lake Constance, followed by dinner and a round of mini golf. Moments like these bring the team even closer together.
