The beautiful nature and clean air, even in the city, contribute to the country repeatedly being named the happiest country in the world. The four distinct seasons allow for a variety of hobbies, from skiing in winter to camping during the short nights in summer and the quality of life here is excellent, including tuition-free education, as well as efficient and free healthcare.
Our Office
The Helsinki Tech Hub is the largest of our international hubs and the community is close-knit. Our office is in the heart of Kamppi, a hip neighbourhood with fantastic shopping and a vibrant nightlife. The office is a bright, open space embodying Helsinki's creative and chic Scandinavian style with a lively and functional design which offers space for personal meetings, team building and games. Meeting room names and ideas for wall design were collected from the local community and chosen through voting.
We have around 140 employees, coming from 30 different nationalities, and working across five different business areas (Content Experience, Partner Tech, Fulfilment Core, Lounge by Zalando and Emerging Propositions).
Our Teams
The Content Experiences team works to inspire and support customers through content that helps them imagine and express their own individual style.
The Partner Tech team utilises technology to enable our internal and external partners to make Zalando the preferred eCommerce channel.
The Fulfilment Core Unit optimises and streamlines our logistics network.
The Lounge by Zalando team ensures that we meet the fashion tastes of our customers, who are always looking for the best products at the best prices.
The Emerging Propositions team drives impactful digital experiences, addressing customer and partner needs to enhance our emerging propositions.
Our Working Environment
As work life balance is taken very seriously in Finland, the Helsinki events calendar is always full with activities with events happening almost every week. There are events for every taste, from team building, fun tournaments and games to internal and external knowledge sharing and collaboration.
One of the legendary events in Helsinki is the annual Summer Adventure: this event brings everyone together in randomly selected teams to compete in an adventure competition for the coveted title of Helsinki Summer Adventure winner. Each event has a theme and the best-dressed team according to the theme is awarded based on a public vote.
For the winter time, the Helsinki employees get together with their friends and families for Helsinki Family Day during December. This warm-hearted event offers various activities for people of all ages, delicious food, a photo studio and a cosy get-together.
