THE ROLE & THE TEAM
As a Junior Buyer in Beauty, you will be part of a small but high performing and driven team! You will work alongside the Senior Buyer to develop innovative and strategic solutions for your Unit’s brand portfolio and taking ownership and accountability of performance KPIs and communicating Zalando strategy to your brand partners. You support the team with marketing and trend topics, therefore contributing to the creative and commercial strategy of the unit.

WHY YOU SHOULD BE INTERESTED
You will have proactive ownership of your brands portfolio including key brands such as Coco & Eve, Invisibobble & Rahua. As well you will be supporting and taking ownership on Beauty Gifting like the Zalando Advent calendar
Together with the Senior Buyer and the Merchandising team you will be shaping the strategy and creative direction for the Haircare & Gifting business unit, while taking into account the big picture Zalando strategy, consumer & market trends and the competitive landscape.
You will demonstrate a strong command of retail/buying KPIs and product-based analysis for trading decisions and proposals for the assortment selection of your portfolio. Furthermore, you will lead strategic and trading meetings independently for a selection of brands.
You will be consequently on the looks out for the next trend and will be in close contact with stylists and experts in the field to exchange on product innovations
You are always challenging and evolving your business to support our company strategy, whilst inspiring brands to take next steps in their Zalando journey. Working cross functionally with other departments including Content, Customer Analytics, Social Media, and Supply Chain Logistics to drive business impact and exchange in best practices.
WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Fashion Management or an education in a similar area
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience linked to the management of beauty or fashion brands (example buying or merchandising), ideally having worked with in a multinational retailer/e-commerce company
Negotiation is in your blood, and you are a confident communicator with suppliers and other stakeholders. Proven track record delivering exceptional results in regards to strategic planning, brand management and strategy building/implementation
Thriving in fast-paced environments, embracing collaboration and acting proactively. Organizing your workload efficiently, ensuring tasks are ready on time, are accurate and prioritized accordingly
Knowledge in MS Office, Google Tools and combining the passion for numbers with beauty. Moreover, you have a strong understanding for trends and products, especially at European-market level
