In Zalando’s Commercial Planning & Trading organisation, we are responsible for several core platforms ranging across Planning, Forecasting, Data, Reporting & Marketing Intelligence which power Zalando’s Supply and Demand to serve 50m+ customers with an assortment of ~2m SKUs. We provide a holistic approach to delivering optimal planning, forecasting and steering to a broad set of expert stakeholders who are responsible for the planning and steering of Zalando’s 15Bn+ EUR business.
As a core contributor of the Planning Platform in the Commercial Planning & Trading organisation, you will develop and extend the central Planning Platforms that support Zalando’s supply and demand planning end-to-end. The Planning Platform team is responsible for the planning products as well as the underlying data platform that serves the insights to the broader business. We are looking for an experienced individual looking to join an autonomous and highly ambitious team of experienced business intelligence specialists. You will provide reliable planning solutions based on state-of-the-art planning technology to directly contribute to Zalando’s commercial success.
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
Join Zalando as a core developer of Zalando’s Anaplan-based Planning & Forecasting Platform across Supply & Demand.
Implement data structures and user interfaces to support a best in class planning process, as well as data processes to supply data to the planning system and platform internal data transfers.
Automate data processing from the planning system to provide information to analytics systems and create detailed analyses for the planning process.
Make a positive impact on our engineering culture, encouraging knowledge sharing, and driving technical discussions and innovation within the team.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
3+ Years hands-on experience in implementing BI systems (e.g. Microstrategy, etc) or planning solutions (e.g. Jedox, Anaplan, etc)
Extensive knowledge in data modelling techniques for business intelligence systems (Star Schema, ROLAP, MOLAP), solid SQL knowledge
Proven expertise in implementing ETL pipelines based on a state-of-the-art tech stack (RDBMS, Spark, Databricks, Airflow)
Profound business know-how in retail planning and experience as an Anaplan Model Builder would be considered as a big plus.
