THE ROLE & THE TEAM
The Lounge CRM team oversees the development and maintenance of the CRM solution Braze, utilized company-wide for all commercial and transactional communications to our customers across various B2C communication channels.
In this role, you'll spearhead the strategy and execution of the Lounge CRM Messaging Tech Stack, which supports today the channels Email, Push Notifications, and In-Product Messaging. Your work ensures alignment with our overarching CRM strategy, driving effective automation, content management, and compliance outcomes. You’ll collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and senior leaders.
You'll lead a cross-functional CRM Tech (CRM Tech Managers, Software Engineering, Email Development, 6 people) team. Your leadership will focus on fostering collaboration and creating solutions that streamline processes and cut down on manual tasks.
Your ability to lead diverse job profiles and manage stakeholders effectively is crucial. You'll engage confidently with senior leadership (Director, VP, SVP level) to ensure alignment with CRM initiatives and articulate a strategic vision for the CRM tech stack, ensuring it integrates seamlessly with our broader tech strategy.

Shape Strategic Direction: Drive the strategy, design, and implementation of our CRM Commercial, Transactional, and Lifecycle Messaging Tech Stack, including Email, Push Notifications, and In-Product Messaging. Ensure effective communication, decision-making, and alignment with the broader Zalando Group CRM strategy.
Leverage Technical Expertise and Foster Collaboration: Utilize your advanced technical skills to manage and deliver impactful results across CRM channel automation, content retrieval, template management, and marketing compliance. Build strong collaborative relationships with internal teams and stakeholders, as well as external vendors and senior leaders, to drive success.
Lead and Develop a High-Performing Tech Team: Guide the CRM Tech, CRM Software Engineering, and Email Development teams, fostering a culture of close collaboration. Develop innovative solutions to streamline processes, eliminate manual tasks, and reduce overhead, positively impacting other CRM teams.

You habe proven Team Leadership: You have a strong track record of leading diverse teams, effectively managing different levels of seniority and technical expertise.
You bring exceptional Stakeholder Management: You excel at managing stakeholders, confidently communicating with upper management and senior leaders to ensure alignment and garner support for CRM initiatives.
You have a strategic Vision for CRM Tech Stack: You can define and articulate a strategic vision for the CRM tech stack, ensuring it aligns seamlessly with the broader Demand Tech stack. You are adept at setting clear requirements for integration into the overarching tech strategy.
You have CRM Tooling Expertise: You bring a robust background in CRM technologies and systems, preferably with experience in Braze. You have served as a technical owner, managing migrations or leading tool development projects.
You bring software Engineering Acumen: You possess a deep understanding of back-end and data engineering principles, working closely with Product and Engineering teams to develop cloud-based solutions (AWS) and data solutions (Apache Kafka, Databricks) that support CRM Tech Stack development.
You have a collaborative Mindset: You thrive in a collaborative environment, working effectively with non-technical peers to develop solutions that align with and advance the overall CRM strategy and goals.
