THE ROLE & THE TEAM

As Senior Manager Labour Relations (all genders), you will shape and lead Zalando’s labour relations strategy for our entities in Germany. Building strong collaboration with the P&O (HR) Business Partners and project teams and maintaining constructive relationships with our Works Councils and other employee representative bodies in Germany will be key to your success. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive strategic negotiations, design effective engagement mechanisms.

WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Strategic Labour Relations Management: Coordinate with various internal stakeholders and lead negotiations with German Works Councils on critical labour relations topics, always keeping our strategic goals in mind.

  • Shape Key Partnerships: Strengthen collaborative and trusting relationships with Works Councils and other employee representative bodies.

  • Develop Policies and Guidelines: Define strategies and principles for working with Works Councils and employee representative bodies, and provide expert advice to leadership and Business Partners.

  • Support Representation Processes: Oversee elections of employee representative bodies and ensure the required processes and structures are set up effectively.

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • You are passionate about Labour Relations: You have a background in labour law or experience in collective labour law as an HR Manager or Business Partner.

  • You bring negotiation expertise: You have proven experience in working with Works Councils or other types of employee representative bodies and cultivating positive, sustainable relationships with employee representatives.

  • You think strategically and act decisively: You have strong analytical abilities, strategic negotiation skills, and the capacity to balance different interests while building trust.

  • You communicate fluently: You excel in both German and English, explaining even the most complex matters in clear and concise ways.

  • You thrive in a hands-on environment: You enjoy collaborating within a team, taking ownership, and adapting processes for effective employee relations management.
