Zalando’s Stories on Zalando team is seeking a Content Editor to lead inspirational storytelling and authentic content creation, centered around new and exciting brand collaborations, cultural trends, and hyped products. This role will be pivotal in strengthening emotional connections with customers and brand partners through exceptional editorial work. Based at Zalando’s headquarters in Berlin, you will help define a multi-year transformational shift in how we release, elevate, and provide context for our most exciting brands and assortments.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Editorial Excellence: Subedit, fact-check and assure quality across engaging editorial content aligned with Zalando’s strategic objectives and the Stories on Zalando content formats.
Content Creation: Ideate, plan and execute compelling stories across new and existing formats, including product releases, features, trend stories, and social-friendly content.
Stories Briefing: Write precise content briefs to be used by production creatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with Inspiration & Engagement, Marketing, Social Media, and creative production teams to identify opportunities for collaboration and align on objectives.
Data-Driven Optimization: Use analytics and customer insights to refine content strategies, optimize onsite destinations, and contribute to the overarching content strategy.
Cultural Awareness: Stay attuned to fashion’s cultural creators and trends, from global icons to niche designers, leveraging this knowledge to inform storytelling.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You have extensive editorial experience in fast-paced environments such as publishers, agencies, or e-commerce, with expertise in streetwear or luxury fashion.
Your portfolio demonstrates proficiency in creating and editing diverse content formats and adapting them for different channels and audiences.
You bring a deep understanding of the fashion and cultural landscape, coupled with hands-on familiarity with editorial processes, CMS tools, and project management software (e.g., ASANA, Figma).
Your writing is sharp, engaging, and precise, and you can produce attention-grabbing headlines and impactful short-form content.
You have a deep understanding of fashion and/or sport and/or beauty’s cultural creators, curators and junction makers. You are well attuned to what is driving the new and noteworthy in one or more of these fields and the wider cultural orbit.
You are fluent in English at a native level; proficiency in German is a plus.
