Our Sports Customer Experience (CX) team is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a cross-functional software engineering team responsible for creating tailored experiences for the distinct needs of Sports Proposition customers.
You will work closely with senior management of the organization, Product Managers, Designers, and Software Engineers to fulfill sports customers' needs through engaging and delightful customer experiences that blend inspiration, quality, entertainment, and seamless digital interaction. You will be partnering with the platform teams to build a long-term relationship and trust thanks to your great communication and collaboration skills. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead, manage, coach, and mentor your team, shape the culture, and establish high levels of excellence for software engineering and operations.

You will lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to foster their professional growth and maximize their potential. You will be responsible for hiring top engineering talent, and fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
Drive a long-term architecture vision that enables the product strategy.
You will create a culture of innovation that welcomes new ideas and experimentation from anyone on your team. You help your team understand customer problems and guide people on how to navigate a time-boxed experiment with a fail-fast mindset.
You will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects within the scope of your team & department. This includes creating execution plans, identifying dependencies, allocating resources, and managing timelines and risks to ensure successful project completion.
You will drive technical excellence within the team by promoting best practices, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and ensuring adherence to quality standards. You will also stay up to date with industry trends and technologies, and promote continuous learning and development within the team.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, product managers, Designers, Product Analytics, and stakeholders to understand business requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure that technical solutions align with business goals. You will also communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders and leadership.
You will build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, actively engaging with them to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure their satisfaction with the delivered solutions.
You will drive a culture of continuous improvement within the team, encouraging feedback, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing processes or tools that enhance team efficiency and productivity.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You have a proven track record of building and leading successful engineering teams in a large scale complex environment.
You have a strong sense of ownership, accountability and analytical thinking.
You have hands-on experience and knowledge in one of our main programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Kotlin, Swift), AWS, API designs and microservices, and you are able to participate in technical discussions, challenge technical decisions, and support professional growth of the engineers in the team.
You are an engineering leader who works with people on an eye-level and creates a culture of trust, growth, ownership and responsibility.
You have an agile and collaborative approach with strong customer and people focus.
You are experienced in project management and delivering software projects on time, with quality, and within budget.
You have a strong solution-focused mindset - You think creatively and tackle the problems at the root and know how to find solutions in a complex environment.
You have effective and fluent communication skills in English, with an ability to understand and translate business and user requirements across teams.
Responsible for maintaining a trustful relationship with your team, leading them and setting a high standard as an example.
BONUS SKILLS
You have a proven track record as an individual contributor.
You have experience leading teams across both backend and frontend.
You have established a team from scratch before.
You have past experience in the E-commerce industry.
