As a Customs & Trade Compliance Manager (all genders), you will add to Zalando’s compliance with customs and trade regulations both in the European Union and in third countries. You will manage meaningful initiatives to enable new ways of steering and monitoring ever-growing regulatory customs and trade requirements, thereby guiding our operational teams in their daily work.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
As part of our Customs Competence Centre, you will be responsible for
Regulatory change management in the field of customs and foreign trade law (e. g. identification of relevant regulatory changes; trainings; ensurance of compliant implementation or adjustment of operational customs processes).
Enablement of launching new products on third country markets, of new customs business concepts and of the development of new third country markets.
Conducting and accompanying internal and external customs audits and supporting the operational customs teams in preparing and evaluating afterwards.
Management of Zalando’s Internal Control System and customs authorizations (including further extension of tooling and reporting).
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You hold a law degree (preferably with a focus on European (Customs) Law) or an academic degree in customs law or a related quantitative field.
You come with professional experience (of at least 2-3 years) in European Customs and Foreign Trade Law.
You demonstrate eagerness to drive the development of smart software solutions and possess strong analytical skills to identify major customs and trade risks.
You possess excellent communication skills (in both German and English and ideally also in Italian or Polish), enabling you to explain complex concepts clearly.
