Zalando’s Pricing department is looking for a Fullstack Engineer to help us become the Starting Point for Fashion for our customers by deepening the customer relationships, supporting our propositions and partners to succeed in their respective ecosystem without compromising on customer trust.
The Incentives team is responsible for the platform for all coupon investments made across all markets for Zalando. In this role, you will face three significant challenges: ensuring the system adheres to the latest software engineering standards, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the Incentives domain to identify opportunities for the platform improvements, and ensuring that the platform supports the needs of our stakeholders.
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated candidate with experience in full-stack development, who can contribute to our team's success and drive our growth forward.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Design, implement, deploy and operate scalable solutions which enable Zalando to deepen customer relationships using incentives.
Own your code and contribute to choices on the technologies and tools to deliver as well as operate large-scale applications via K8s, based on a microservices architecture.
Work closely with stakeholders and dependencies, with the product and design counterparts on solution planning, design and implementation
Think abstractly and discover correlations between problems, methodologies, and solutions.
Ensure system-reliability engineering and technical compliance.
Promote and support an inclusive culture and diverse team environment, fostering a positive and productive work environment for all team members.
Use your people skills to promote open communication and collaboration within the team and with external partners.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You have experience in developing large scale applications using a JVM based language (Kotlin/Java)
You know your way around frontends using JavaScript with frameworks such as React.
You have hands-on experience in RESTful API design, as well as building microservice-based systems in the cloud (Kubernetes).
Pragmatic and curious, find the right tool for the right job. We solve business problems in the best possible way, but not better than that.
You’re passionate about software design and aim for reducing complexity and producing designs that are easy to maintain and extend.
You have excellent communication skills to work effectively with colleagues, moderate team meetings and find creative solutions to complex problems as a team.
You have strong interpersonal skills that enhance collaboration and foster an inclusive team culture.
You’re excited about working in a setup that requires a deep domain understanding (e.g., how coupons are and can be used across Zalando).
