Zalando is looking for an individual contributor (all genders) to strengthen the Global Corporate Communications team at our headquarters in Berlin, Germany. Our team consists of communications experts on various topics ranging from fashion to technology, convenience, sustainability and D&I. In your role, you will work in the Technology and Customer Innovation team, covering all aspects of customer experience and innovation that allow Zalando to build high-quality personalised experiences as well as help our customers find fashion and lifestyle inspiration.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • As a Manager Global Corporate Communications in our team, you develop and implement media campaigns and strategies to both proactively tell Zalando's innovation story and mitigate potential risks to the company’s reputation. You act as spokesperson for the tech- and innovation-related topics.

  • You know your target groups, are able to turn complex topics into compelling narratives and identify opportunities in the media. 

  • You work closely with your colleagues within Corporate Affairs (including Public Affairs and Internal Communications) and act as a trusted adviser, partnering with relevant internal stakeholders across multiple disciplines and all management levels. 

  • As a strategic thinker and relationship builder, you steer multiple projects simultaneously and do not lose sight of your target in ambiguity. 

  • You are eager to take over ownership and drive new ideas and fresh formats independently.  

  • You identify potential risks and opportunities at an early stage and future proof the company's reputation through relevant communication measures.

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • You have extensive (5+ years) relevant experience in media relations or journalism – ideally in corporate communications in a fast-paced environment: You know how to handle sensitive topics confidently with media representatives and are experienced in strategic communications

  • You come with a passion for innovation and tech topics such as Artificial Intelligence, and ability to craft stories that cater to both corporate and consumer audiences

  • You convince with your excellent written English, German and/or other languages is a plus 

  • You have a strong sense of ownership and responsibility, an eye for innovative formats in communications and attention to detail

  • You are a team player with excellent problem analytical skills, empathy, curiosity, creative thinking and strengths in execution

  • You are confident in managing cross-functional processes and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
