WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

As Dunning Manager at Zalando Payments (ZPS) you will join the Dunning & Collections team that is responsible for the post purchase collection experience for our customers. You will be primarily responsible for managing and overseeing the entire dunning process for all markets, ensuring timely and efficient collections of outstanding receivables. You aim to minimize open debts, and improve cash flow while ensuring that we treat our customers fairly and in line with market specific requirements. 

You thrive in project work and enjoy collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders across various areas of the Zalando business to enable new processes, features, and implement required changes and adjustments. 

You are capable of using your strong analytical skills and thinking, to bring us closer to excellence in the area of Dunning.

  • You develop, implement, and maintain efficient dunning strategies for our deferred payment options at ZPS across Europe to ensure timely collection of receivables.

  • You work on projects to deliver optimisations and new features at pace in collaboration with your various internal (especially Product Management) and external stakeholders and service providers.

  • You work to enhance existing processes and address operational inefficiencies to elevate our experiences and workflows, always prioritizing the customer.

  • You are comfortable using analytics and commercial insights to assess post-purchase dunning performance and make data-driven decisions for optimization.

  • You manage incidents that require special handling of open receivables and develop playbooks to address the most common issues, closely collaborating with incident experts across the company.

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF...

  • Experience: Min. 3-4 years experience in an operative or process/project area, enabling operational and business excellence, experience in the area of B2C eCommerce, post purchase processes such as debtor accounting management or dunning. Experience working with ERP systems especially SAP is a plus.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work closely with various stakeholders to develop and maintain new and existing strategic as well as improving existing inefficiencies and operational issues.  

  • Project Management and Optimization: Experience in identifying problems, creating problem statements and managing projects aimed at delivering optimizations and new features, with a track record of successful implementations.

  • Analytical and Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in utilizing analytics and commercial insights to understand performance metrics (KPIs) and drive data-informed decisions for optimizing post-purchase collections. 

  • Customer Focus: Strong customer and service orientation, with a deep understanding of who the customers are and the problems you are solving for them.

  • Teamwork and Community Contribution: You enjoy collaborating with your team and members of your wider Organization and you enjoy sharing your knowledge and learning from your peers.
