WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Consistently ship working, testable, maintainable, readable code/data to production in small and safe iterations. You build solutions that are performant, scalable and fulfil the set SLOs of the product
Own and operate backend microservices on top of Kubernetes and AWS
Build and improve reliable data-pipelines, enable data analysis and monitoring, and build reliable ML Products together with Applied Scientists. Be a strong owner for microservices, production systems, data and dashboards.
Participate in A/B test design/alignment, planning.
Prototype, productionize and run a large scale real-time machine learning system
Generate actionable insights from the data of 51+M customers
Make a positive impact on our engineering culture, encouraging knowledge sharing and drive technical discussions within the team and beyond
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
Experience working with JVM Based languages, such as Java, Scala or Kotlin
Experience in specifying, planning, developing, maintaining and operating microservices using REST API (OpenAPI), Cloud Platforms (AWS, Kubernetes), PostgreSQL.
Strong DevOps skills, from developing AWS cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to implementing production quality application monitoring
Good skills in Python & SQL, Airflow and Spark, hands-on experience with Databricks, working with cloud services (e.g. S3, sagemaker, dynamodb etc.). Curious about learning new technologies.
Team player, can raise the engineering bar (live high challenge and high support), keep it simple sherlock, strong sense of ownership and dedication, proactive, disagree and commit
Experience working with data scientists to know the process of experimentation to productionisation; analytical mindset and interest in scientific side of the products
Bonus points: Scala knowledge/experience, especially with libraries like Cats Effect & ZIO
