THE ROLE & THE TEAM
As Cluster Manager of Security and Loss Prevention, your main challenge is to ensure that our logistics service providers’ (3PL) security management complies with the Zalando Global Security Standards.
You will engage directly with the local management teams, developing, consulting, challenging, coordinating, and auditing all aspects of Zalando`s Global Security Standards in their operations. Using your knowledge and expertise, and in strong cooperation with the central Security team and your international colleagues, you are further defining the Standards and Best practices to roll these out throughout the entire Zalando network.
As a specialized security and loss prevention manager, you ensure risks are kept to a minimum by challenging the local service provider's approach and acting preventively. In case of any incidents, your challenger role will be focused on supporting immediate risk mitigation, root cause analysis, and improvement recommendations.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Liaise, support, and cooperate with the local Security management within the cluster in order to achieve full local adherence to Zalando Global Security Standards and sector Best Practices (TAPA, ISO 28000, etc.)
Audit the security and loss prevention activities in the logistics operations within the cluster to identify and evaluate threats and risks. The information is used to challenge the onsite teams, and recommend and coordinate implementation of effective actions.
Your risk mitigation and investigation skills support logistics operations in cases of severe risks, incidents, or crisis situations. You ensure that Zalando employees engaged at the sites have the same level of security as everywhere in the network.
Project management and development of Security Technologies. You ensure that physical security measures meet the defined standards, operational needs, and risk management requirements while being installed and maintained. You oversee the planning, design, and installation of new and existing sites.
Monitoring the performance of the Local Security Management with challenging objectives, targets, and KPIs.
You are expected to visit all locations regularly and perform all activities in accordance with local laws, practices, standards, and culture. You can travel for approximately 50% of your time.

You are an excellent communicator and influencer who speaks English (other European languages are a plus)
Your working methods show a high sense of responsibility, customer focus, and solution orientation.
You are keen on using data to base decisions on, and you consider all the facts and perspectives before drawing conclusions. Analytical skills are essential for this position. To facilitate the analyses, we require high proficiency in all G-Suite applications and the ability to learn and use new applications quickly.
You have experience in project management as well as strategy development. Ambiguous situations and changes do not scare you but motivate you.
Hard requirements:
Relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree (such as Security Management, Criminology, Criminalistics, Law, or Policing) or relevant work experience in combination with appropriate training/certifications;
Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience in Security and Loss Prevention
Certified Security / Risk auditor (eg, ISO 28000, TAPA, ISO 31000) and Certified Investigator (PEACE method) or willingness to acquire these qualifications
