As a Senior AML Analyst (all genders), you are part of the Zalando Compliance Function located in Berlin. Our Anti-Money Laundering team is looking for a Senior AML Analyst to help us in transferring group project ideas into tangible products and processes and implementing quality controls. With your experience in AML matters, preferably at least in transaction monitoring, you contribute by working on alerts, cases and projects, and contribute to constantly improve our processes.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Analyse our transaction monitoring alerts, and contribute to constantly improve our transaction monitoring processes and tooling;
Ensure adequate quality assurance and controls on the first line of defence regarding KYC and Name List Screening (NLS) Operations on entities and individuals;
Support in the maintenance of AML procedures;
Carry out regular and event-driven NLS against negative lists, i.e. Sanctions and Embargoes (SAE), Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), Adverse Media (ADM), and internal cases (ICM);
Process external and/or internal referrals regarding beneficial ownership discrepancies and/or suspicious activities and/or suspicious transactions;
Support in UATs regarding toolings where required;
Submit reports;
Escalate potential risks and technical issues, where applicable.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
A relevant education, generally either a bachelor’s degree in Law, Criminology or Business Administration, or comparable qualification;
3+ year experience in AML operations, and interest in German and European AML laws and regulations;
Experience in Anti-Financial Crime tools are a plus;
Profound analytical skills with attention to details;
Result-oriented, with strong ownership;
Interest in managing team-projects;
Excellent communication skills in English.
