Our Team manages critical products for Zalando’s continuous growth in the Size & Fit area. You would enable commercial stakeholders to make better decisions based on data, and help them to benefit the most from our products. Data is a critical part of our product development process, and Product Analysts are their chief advocates. We are looking for a Principal Product Analyst who can jump in and make an impact quickly.

You will work across the entire product development lifecycle, from early data explorations about user behavior to experiments and optimizations on shipped products. You will develop an analytical understanding of what drives the growth of our products and how it can be improved. You will set-up and analyze A/B tests for new experimental features, generate and size opportunities to prioritize features, and define key performance metrics for the team. You will always give analytical evidence as to why we do certain things, thereby challenging and contributing to product decisions based on these insights. As a PrincipalProduct Analyst, you will be all together a data explorer, educator, and partner in decision-making.

WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

- You’ll partner with product managers very closely to understand and drive product strategies forward by bringing in actionable insights based on product analytics findings
- You’ll work in a multidiciplinary team, together with product managers, designers, applied scientists, engineers as well as business analysts to implement, document, validate, and monitor our logging and metrics, using tools like Google Analytics & Data Bricks
- You’ll identify, translate and prioritize important product questions based on data
- You’ll drive and live by an experimentation culture and you’ll set-up, analyze, and promote good practices for multivariate experiments
- You’ll explore data to find actionable insights and make product and customer experience recommendations through different product analytics methodologies such as but not limited to funnel and cohort analyses, long-term trends, user segmentation, regression models, AB testing and causal studies
- You’ll synthesize and communicate insights during the product development process
- You’ll actively contribute to creating a data-informed culture at Zalando

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF...

  • You have at least 5+ years of experience in a similar data role and a degree in business, statistics, mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline

  • You have a deep understanding of quantitative analysis, as well as a strong business sense and have a passion for making sense of user behavior

  • You have recent experience with analytics and some combination of:

    • Statistical software languages (like R, SQL, Python)

    • Analytics tools (Google Analytics, Microstrategy, Bigquery)

    • Experience performing analysis with large datasets with a deep understanding of statistical analysis, experiment design, and common pitfalls of data analysis

  • You have experience in collaborating with diverse cross-functional product teams, including software engineers, designers, product managers, and data scientists; and influencing their work.

  • You effectively synthesize, visualize, and communicate your ideas to others and have the ability to explain complex topics in simple terms

  • You have a solid understanding of data, data quality and data engineering have a solid understanding of how data science backed product development processes work
