The Consumer & Market Insights team plays a crucial role in shaping customer-centric strategies at Zalando. By focusing on in-depth analytics and research, the team uncovers valuable insights that inform decision-making and enhance our competitive edge. The understanding of consumer needs and behaviours enables more effective sales, marketing, product development, and overall business strategies.
As a Senior Data Analyst in the Brand & Satisfaction tracking sub-team, your goal is to shed light on what drives customer perception and behaviour, leveraging the wide variety of data sources at your disposal. You will act as the voice of our customers internally and support data-driven decisions to improve their experience.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Connecting transactional data, onsite behavioural data and perception insights (derived from customer and panel surveys) to build a holistic understanding of our customers’ experience
Successfully leading and owning analytical projects by conducting descriptive, diagnostic and predictive analytics using state-of-the-art modelling techniques and deriving recommendations for our stakeholders.
Support more junior analysts with guidance and sparring, leveraging your knowledge and experience to raise the bar for analytics within the team
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
University degree in economics, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or in a similar quantitative field
Proven track record of a minimum of 5 years in a highly analytical role, ideally in an e-commerce environment
Strong analytical skills and solid understanding of statistical methods, with the ability to extract meaningful insights from large and complex data sets
Solid programming skills in SQL and in Python, as well as experience with Google Analytics (BigQuery)
Previous experience with data visualisation tools (e. g. Microstrategy, Tableau, PowerBI) is a plus
Knowledge of time series forecasting and causality (causal inference and A/B testing) is considered a plus
Ability to concisely communicate the essence, conveying meaningful and relevant insights to analytical and non-analytical stakeholders alike
Excellent verbal and written English skills
