Zalando is not just a fashion and technology company; we are also experts in logistics. We operate and manage a powerful logistics infrastructure using technological solutions that we have developed in-house. We want to utilize this strength as a business model to achieve further growth and secure jobs in these challenging times. To do so, we must open up our logistics network to external partners. This means our partners do not have to worry about the infrastructure, and instead can focus on their core competencies in the fashion business. Our service is called Zalando Logistics Solutions. Partners can use the entire logistics network or only the parts of it they need: Zalando Fulfillment Solutions (ZFS), Zalando Shipping Solutions (ZSS) and Zalando Return Solutions (ZRS). Partners can make use of our ZFS service and our network of twelve fulfillment centers in 23 of our markets.
Zalando Fulfillment Solutions
If our partners use ZFS, they deliver their products to our fulfillment centers. If customers order from our online store, we pick the order and pack all the products into one package, before sending it out via our logistics network. This makes it simple for our partners to expand into different European markets, save transportation costs and offer their customers a more convenient service and quicker delivery in just a single box.
Zalando Shipping Solutions
Partners can also make use of individual services such as Zalando Shipping Solutions. They pick and pack their products themselves, before delivering the finished shipments to our fulfillment center, where they are dispatched to customers all over Europe. Not only does this reduce transportation costs for our partners, it also cuts administration expenses as they only have one contract with us instead of separate contracts with many different couriers. So thanks to our logistics solutions, partners can offer their customers a more convenient service while reducing their shipping costs by up to 25%.
Zalando Return Solutions
ZRS is an end-to-end returns solution for our partners, where we handle the entire returns process for them and automatically put returned products back on sale in the online store. Customers can send their returns straight back to us. This not only saves costs for our partners, it also boosts customer satisfaction thanks to simpler returns and quicker refunds.
New: Multichannel
In the past, partners have stored their products with us and we have sent them out in Zalando boxes if they were ordered via our online store. Recently, we have started sending out products not ordered directly through us on behalf of our partners in neutral cardboard packaging. This is our multichannel service.
