As a research engineer at Fulfilment Core in Dortmund, you will be working on building a giant map of how our inventory can be moved across our fulfillment network. You will be working on predictive models that allow us to know what inventory levels we can expect at any given time in any location within our network. You will carry a lot of responsibility working on systems highly critical to the business and have plenty opportunities to make our customers even happier.

Technologies. You have experience in applied machine learning and know at least one of the following methods in depth (regression, tree-based methods, ensemble learning). Apart from only applying these methods in practice, you also have a good understanding of the mathematical concepts that are frequently used in machine learning (linear algebra, probability theory).
You are eager to prototype new machine learning concepts and are also willing to push them all the way to production. Ideally, you have already worked with big data frameworks before and have experience building production systems at scale (experience in Java is recommended).
Code Quality. You are ready to deploy your code to production (including testing, CI, deployment) and taking ownership.
Education. You have a degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics or another similar quantitative field (PhD, M.Sc.) and are eager to keep learning and applying new knowledge.
