At Zalando Digital Experience (DX) Hub Lisbon, we are are building the most inspiring and engaging customer experiences. From integration of the most inspiring external content for our visitors over enabling new and unique experiences delivered by third parties to developing and prototyping new projects within the Digital Experience department.
As a backend engineer at Zalando DX Hub in Lisbon, you will be building the backend systems that enable external partners to integrate their services and content into the Zalando Fashion Store. This includes but is not limited to systems required for partners to manage their integrations as well as gateways from our internal services to those of the partners to ensure privacy and data security and create interfaces that enable the partner to have access to the data and information they need to provide the best possible customer experience.

Distributed Systems. You know how to design and build distributed systems, microservices and cloud architectures, preferably on AWS and/or Kubernetes.
DevOps. You have knowledge about running systems in production, monitor them and troubleshoot them if necessary.
Code Quality. You are familiar with writing well tested & reusable code and add documentation where necessary.
Ownership. You have a strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurial thinking - customer value should be your key driver.
Knowledge Exchange. You are curious about current trends in your area of expertise and share your learning openly with your colleagues.
Basics. You are fluent in English - written as well as spoken
