Within our Pricing Analytics Team, you will be at the interface between Commercial Team and our Pricing & Forecasting products forefront, having a huge impact on Zalando’s success. You will enable commercial stakeholders to take better decisions based on data, and help them to improve their top and bottom-line performance in an increasingly competitive fashion market. Data is a critical part of our development process, and Analysts are their chief advocates. We are looking for a Data Analyst for Pricing Analytics who can jump in and make an impact quickly.

You will play a vital part in improving the effectiveness of pricing decisions and establishing monitoring insights and analytics for top management. You will develop a deep analytical understanding of what drives the growth of our products and business and how it can be improved. You will support in the automation of our systems and the generation of reports. You will support the set-up and analyze A/B tests for new solutions, generate and size opportunities to prioritize implementation of decisions, and define key performance metrics for the team. You will give analytical evidence as to why we do certain things, thereby challenging and contributing to decisions based on these insights. As a Data Analyst Pricing Analytics, you will be all together a data explorer, educator, and partner in decision-making.



Purpose. You’ll identify, translate and prioritize improvements to various Pricing & Forecasting decisions across teams based on data. You’ll synthesize and communicate insights during the development process. You’ll provide performance and strategic insights to top management and key stakeholders.
Improvement. You’ll set-up, analyze, and promote good practices for experiments, simulations and transparency on key KPIs. You’ll actively contribute to creating a data-informed culture at Zalando and within the team.
Collaboration. You’ll partner with commercial stakeholders across Zalando and the delivery teams for various Pricing & Forecasting products to implement, document, validate, and monitor our performance and improvements.



Education & Expertise. You bring good understanding of quantitative analyses, solid business acumen and strong communication skills. You have a background in computer science, statistics, mathematics, business, economics and/or a similar quantitative discipline. You proved yourself and the value you can generate in a similar role previously, ideally in consulting, e-commerce or tech.
Technologies. You have experience with analytics and some combination of:

  • Business/analytics tools: Strong Excel and at least basic SQL.
  • As a plus: Tableau, R, Python, Microstrategy.

Experience performing analysis with large datasets with a deep understanding of statistical analysis, experiment design, and common pitfalls of data analysis.
Communication. You effectively synthesize, visualize, and communicate your ideas to others and have the ability to explain complex topics in simple terms.
