As a designer in Zalando's Retail Operations team, you will help build the engine of a multi-billion-Euro supply chain machine while bringing style to the Enterprise.

As a Product Designer (UX) for Retail Operations, you work on all the core systems that enable Zalando to plan, procure and produce Europe’s best online fashion assortment. Your stakeholders are fashion experts in all kinds of different roles: buyers, merchandise planners, controllers, content producers, pricing analysts and many more. For them, we are building what Oracle and SAP can’t: Business systems for humans who love fashion.
Discover. You go deep into the domains that make a retail business tick to discover problems worth solving. As a sparring partner for our Product Managers, you will be involved in problem framing and project definition from day one.
Tell stories. When building enterprise systems, it’s easy to get lost in the complexity. To pull everyone back to what matters, you use creative methods to illustrate the future we are working towards.
Prototype. You bring concepts to life by creating prototypes at all levels of fidelity. Whether it’s a quick flow of paper mockups you put together in an afternoon or a web app using live data that you create with a team of engineers in a week-long sprint, you are constantly testing out your ideas in the wild.
Execute. The best design is nothing without an implementation to match. In close collaboration with our engineers, you continually iterate your way to success and user satisfaction.
To land this job you will show and explain raw artifacts from various stages of the design process, demonstrating both your well-rounded experience and your stand-out skills.
User-centered. You have the methods and skills under your belt to ensure that all stakeholders in the product development team walk in the customer's shoes and see through the user’s eyes.
