As an Engineering Lead, you will lead our Sponsored Products team in Hamburg, working on our product recommendation solution. You will own the product roadmap and will be responsible for engineering and people leadership. You will collaborate with Scientists, Engineers, Business Owners as well as Sales, Operations, Analysts etc. to improve our advertisement solution using data. 


  • Translate strategic goals and business targets into a compelling product-roadmap giving direction for your team and stakeholders. This work is based on a close collaboration with commercial counterparts and experts within your team.
  • Ensure creating an efficient development methodology in your team and you contribute to a high level of operational excellence.  
  • Encourage your team to grow their skills and capabilities through discovering and following their passion and purpose. Furthermore grow your team by bringing great talent in.
  • Expertise in a B2B self-service application would be highly appreciated while adeptness in areas like Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science is a very big plus.


  • Must have hands-on technical background. Experience in high-load, low-latency transactional systems or data-driven optimization is strongly preferred.
  • At least 3 years of team leading, coaching and mentoring experience with working knowledge on complex data-driven products.
  • Ability to understand our clients and business strategy with expertise in product management and stakeholder management and be able to facilitate collaboration between diverse contributors.
  • You have expertise in one or more of the following areas: Data-driven optimization (e.g. online advertising, E-commerce, social media, P2P lending, online gaming, trading, recommender systems, etc.), Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science, Test design and analysis (A/B testing), Software Engineering, particularly in high-load transactional systems
