Consumer Insights is an entirely new data-driven Zalando offer enabling clients in the fashion industry to gain a holistic understanding of their business and consumers. This offer includes project-based consulting services and self-service web interfaces.
As a Senior Product Designer in our Consumer Insights team, you’re part of a high performing team, providing value to our product management team by being the go-to person when it comes to understanding our client’s needs and translating those into requirements for our self-service web interfaces.

As a Senior Product Designer (UX) in our Consumer Insights team you will help to develop one of the most impactful analytical B2B tools:
Discover. You are curious about our B2B customers and the problems we can solve for them. You shape Consumer Insights’ product design by understand the existing offer, building on it and generating ideas for new analytic features. You will help improving the tool in terms of structure, design and usability to improve our customer satisfaction.
Design. You bring concepts to life by creating prototypes at all levels of fidelity. Whether it’s a quick flow of paper mockups you put together in an afternoon or a web app using live data that you create with a team of engineers in a week-long sprint, you are constantly testing out your ideas in the wild. Strong UI skills are advantageous.
Collaborate. You communicate and collaborate effectively with many other multidisciplinary teams that are working on the larger Zalando platform but still like to work independently.
Validate. You will perform a variety of assessments -- from expert reviews to A/B tests -- using proven methodologies to ensure that Consumer Insights succeeds and delivers customer satisfaction.
Execute. The best design is nothing without an implementation to match. In close collaboration with our engineers and product managers, you continually iterate your way to success and user satisfaction.
User-centered. You have the methods and skills to ensure that all stakeholders walk in the B2B customer's shoes. You request and drive user research/usability tests as needed.
Multi-faceted. To master the daily challenges you are strong in UX interaction design and in visual UI design.
Business-proven. You’re used to be working independently and are not afraid to use data to inform your design decisions (and disprove your ideas!).
Convincing. You are interested in data and can effectively sell and explain it to stakeholders at all levels of understanding - from design unaware business people to highly experienced designers.
Collaborative. Your communication skills and empathy help you to succeed in your daily work with multidisciplinary international teams and diverse partners.
