Zalando's Product Analytics department was established in 2016 to strengthen and support a data-informed culture within Zalando. We aim to provide state of the art self-service interfaces for A/B testing, tracking data collection and other analysis services.
Hundreds of teams at Zalando are rolling out, measuring efficiency, and monitoring performance of new features on our own Zalando Web Store and Zalando Apps daily. Simplicity of integration of our A/B testing and tracking services is key to Zalando's ability to continuously move fast and try out new approaches and ideas.
As a Product Designer you’ll work collaboratively with data scientists, product managers and engineers to build best-in-class analytics tooling. You will join a team obsessed with creating intuitive experiences for users, and the desire to iterate quickly. You will influence and support us in building a holistic UI which shares a common design language (Ant Design) and an intuitive design system.
Discover. You are eager to learn about our customer’s problems. You build on existing knowledge and drive new research to generate actionable insights. You might not be a domain expert immediately but you will act as a sparring partner for our product managers, be surrounded by a team of specialists, and be involved in problem framing as well as project definition from day one.
Define. With the insights gained during the discovery, you help to define problem statements, to make sure we’re working on the right things and approaching it from the right angle
Design. You bring concepts to life by creating prototypes at all levels of fidelity. Whether it’s a quick flow of paper mockups you put together in an afternoon or a web app using live data that you create with a team of engineers in a week-long sprint, you are constantly testing out your ideas in the wild.
Execute. The best design is nothing without an implementation to match. In close collaboration with our engineers, you continually iterate your way to success and user satisfaction.
User-centered. You have the methods and skills to ensure that all stakeholders walk in the customer's shoes. You request and drive user research and usability tests and you support your creative teammates with content testing.
Multi-faceted. To master the daily challenges you are strong in UX interaction design and you have good skills in visual UI design.
Collaborative. Your communication skills and empathy help you to succeed in your daily work with multidisciplinary international teams.
Business-proven. You’re not afraid to use data to inform your design decisions (and disprove your ideas!)
