As part of our "Competence Center eCommerce Law", you will contribute to shape the legal set up of Zalando’s platform activities, processes and reporting requirements resulting from the Digital Services Act (DSA) and related Platform Regulation. In this role you will be the direct point of contact for Zalando’s Product Design, Social Commerce, Content Moderation teams, various expert teams and Compliance Teams and ensure that DSA related requirements are fulfilled and our customers’ trust maintained. You will be part of an exciting wider team that is also responsible for E-Commerce Law, Logistics and Transportation Law, Trademark & IP Law as well as Product Safety Compliance and Sustainability Law.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Support the numerous teams dealing with DSA relevant content and functionalities at Zalando comprising to provide the legal set up for content moderation and to manage respective Terms of Use including moderation principles and fair use policies.
Provide legal advice to content creation and moderation teams to deal with third party and/ or user generated content on the platform.
In alignment with our Compliance and Public Affairs team you support the analysis and continuous implementation of legal topics at EU and national level and their application in the company, especially with regards to the DSA and related Platform regulation.
You keep a holistic overview of Zalando’s current and future Social and eCommerce related activities with DSA relevance and take over the role of DSA Governance Coordination within the Corporate Governance Team. In this role you ensure that DSA related matters are addressed by the respective Corporate Governance experts and act as close collaboration partner for the Compliance team to support DSA audit circles.

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You have successfully completed state exams with above-average results, preferably with a grade of "fully satisfactory", or a comparable qualification from another European jurisdiction.
You have at least 4 years of professional experience from a law firm or a company in the area of social commerce or social media.
You have profound knowledge in the area of platform regulation (in particular DSA). Experience in DSA litigation or Audit participation is a plus.
You have an excellent command of English.
You are interested in familiarizing yourself quickly with the issues mentioned and growing with your responsibilities.
You are also interested in the economic and business context.
You enjoy taking on new challenges, thinking and acting quickly and managing and initiating projects independently.
