The Emerging Propositions CX department is responsible for all customer-facing experiences of these high potential propositions.
As an Engineering Manager in the ERP Enterprise Applications & Architecture (EAA), You will lead a team of 6 to 8 technical SAP developers, including Integration Engineers and Fiori experts, responsible for SAP development. As part of the ERP Engineering team, you will work with the latest ERP products, benefiting from strong partnerships with SAP innovation centres, AWS, and leading implementation partners. Our ERP system, S/4HANA, operates on a HANA database, and we deliver regular rollouts of new ERP technologies and business processes. As the SAP Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence while working closely with Principal Engineers and collaborating with tech consulting teams in key functional areas such as S/4HANA Retail, Materials Management, BRIM, Finance, Controlling, and Treasury Management. Through your leadership, you will provide clear direction and context, reducing ambiguity and empowering your team to deliver high-quality, impactful solutions

You will build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, actively engaging with them to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure their satisfaction with the delivered solutions.
Project Management: You will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects within the scope of your team. This includes setting project goals, defining project scope, allocating resources, and managing timelines to ensure successful project completion.

You have a proven track record of several years running senior engineering teams and structure them to work efficiently
You are passionate about people’s career growth and you are a great listener and coach. You know how to shape high quality conversations in 1on1s
You have strong production experience and expertise in ABAP programming, including Object-Oriented ABAP, CDS Views, SAPUI5, OData services, SAP Gateway, and SAP Fiori. You also have an understanding of SAP BTP services, including Integration Suite
You should have experience developing or leading developers on a current version of S/4HANA on-premise system with BTP as a hybrid architecture
You should be able to implement DevOps practices, the Engineering Manager will play a crucial role in modernising and optimising SAP development and deployment processes, ensuring high-quality and scalable solutions
You have Experience working with ERP systems in AWS cloud Infrastructure
Demonstrate strong technical expertise in SAP Finance, including modules such as FI, CO, and related integration points.
You are passionate about innovations and experimentation, have sense of ownership and willingness to share knowledge within and outside the immediate team
You are an analytical thinker with strong communication skills in English
You have practised operational excellence best practices
You are experienced in project management and delivering software projects on time and within budget
