As a Software Engineer at Lounge by Zalando, you'll join a cross-functional team that will shape the next chapter in our customer experience. WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Contribute to the design, development, and operation of scalable, reliable, low-latency backend solutions for our customer facing applications.
Write clean, robust, and maintainable code, focusing on high quality and automated tests.
Take an active part in solution design, architecture discussions, technical decisions, and production readiness reviews.
Participate in code reviews and adhere to best practices, using feedback as a means of personal and team growth.
Collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team, iterating quickly during the product development cycle.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You have at least 3 years of professional development experience with Java.
You understand microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-based systems, enabling you to build scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions.
You have solid knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
You enjoy working in an agile, cross-functional team and thrive in an iterative, fast-paced product development environment.
You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with product managers and engineering peers, to clarify requirements, suggest improvements, and solve technical challenges
You bring a proactive mindset, are self-motivated, and are passionate about continuous learning and improvement.
