THE ROLE & THE TEAM 

ZEOS by Zalando is our logistic division which is currently offering to our partners: Zalando Fulfilment Solutions (ZFS), Zalando Shipping Solutions (ZSS), Zalando Returns Solutions (ZRS) and Multi-Channel Fulfilment (MCF).  

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Sales Manager to join our contract and digital logistics sales efforts. This role is critical in driving business growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities, developing strong commercial proposals, and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in logistics sales, strong P&L understanding, and experience in building logistics solutions.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)..

The Role of the Senior Sales Manager is:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies for a key set of global prospect accounts to achieve revenue and growth targets in the contract and digital logistics sector.

  • Forecasting and Reporting: Prepare and present accurate sales forecasts and reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.

  • Prospecting and Customer Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leading negotiations and closing deals with potential clients.

  • Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent follow-up and timely closure of sales opportunities ultimately progressing to signed contracts.

  • Solution Development: Lead the qualification, proposal, negotiation, and conclusion of sales opportunities, ensuring alignment with client needs and company capabilities.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored logistics solutions.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the logistics, operations, finance, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • Handover to Key Account Management: Effectively transition new clients to the key account management team, ensuring continuity and long-term success.

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF...

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in one of the following areas: Business, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, and/or related field.

  • +7 years of work experience in Consulting/Project Management, Analytics or Commercial Roles

  • Candidates should have experience in development and reporting of sales targets and other KPIs

  • Experience in strategic decision support with great data acumen, market forecasting, performance tracking and marketing analytics.

  • Candidate should be able to think out of the box and demonstrate innovative thinking

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Strong business acumen and project management skills

  • Good communication and presentation skills

  • Proven track record of handling complex analysis

  • Demonstrated proficiency in modelling tools such as trend analysis and optimization

  • Ability to develop business oriented results with appropriate level of detail and keep the right people informed

  • Must have strong experience in Excel / gsheets, macro programming and broad-based awareness of other analytical tools (basic Microstrategy knowledge would be an advantage)

  • Must be fluent in English
