THE ROLE & THE TEAM
As an expert (m/f/d) within the Logistics Network organisation at Zalando, you will drive the development of our intralogistics concept, aligning logistics processes with customer needs. Leveraging your expertise in automation, conveyor technology, robotics (stationary/mobile), steel construction, and process design, you will help create state-of-the-art fulfilment centres. You will tackle the challenge of expanding and enhancing our Europe-wide logistics network by integrating innovative technologies. Your contributions will be pivotal in developing some of the most advanced logistics centres in Europe.

Present and Align: Champion your innovative ideas by providing compelling financial cases, demonstrating concept feasibility to top management, and driving internal consensus and approvals.
Optimise Performance: Enhance key metrics like maximum throughput, short lead times, storage capacity per square metre, fulfilment costs per item, order lead times, total budget, and the granularity of outbound sorting.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF YOU HAVE…
Intralogistics Expertise: Proven experience in designing and implementing intralogistic systems, preferably within e-commerce.
Leadership Experience: Track record of mentoring indirect reports or project team members.
Industry Network: Established connections within the intralogistics market and among suppliers, or significant experience with a major intralogistics solutions provider.
Educational Background: Degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or business administration, complemented by relevant professional experience.
Communication & Facilitation: Exceptional skills in facilitation, communication, and problem resolution, with the ability to build strong relationships with both executives and stakeholders. Proficiency in both business and engineering terminology.
English Proficiency: Fluent in English for daily business interactions and documentation.
Project Management: Training or certification in relevant project management standards is a plus.
