Zalando’s newly formed Inspiration and Entertainment venture is seeking a dynamic  and experienced individual to lead the entertainment content strategy and execution. This is a new team at Zalando that will focus on embracing a new future, where every click unveils a new chapter in the evolution of online retail. In this exciting new role, you will leverage your expertise to redefine and shape Zalando’s mission to bring high quality, curated inspiration and entertainment content into our shopping environment to engage the next generation of fashion, beauty and lifestyle shoppers. You will join and collaborate with a fast-paced cross-functional team and be at the center of content production, talent/brand partnerships, editorial, and content innovation teams crafting and delivering new compelling customer experiences in culture led-storytelling.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • You will define and execute the strategy and programming agenda for Entertainment content on Zalando’s premises - leading discussions and reporting on progress at senior leadership levels

  • You will work with multiple-cross functional teams that are pursuing different content sourcing strategies, ranging from creators, partner brands, original (in-house production), Gen AI teams, to content licensing deals

  • You will work closely with existing editorial and content productions teams from zStudios and Highsnobiety in a newsroom like set-up to deliver a compelling customer experience every day

  • You love working in a highly creative environment - exchanging on ideas, elevating the discussion around quality and excellence, and contributing to the culture of the creative community you operate in

  • You will partner with various talents teams to uncover new engaging formats that feel native to the Zalando environment, bringing them to life in a scalable way

  • You are able to create a bridge across various inspiration/entertainment led formats and our fashion, beauty, and lifestyle assortment   

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • You’re an established leader with a track record of scaling new entertaining media environments (experience in fashion and beauty are a plus, but not a must)

  • You have a solid network in the media world that you can tap for ideas or new partnership opportunities

  • You have your finger on the entertainment media pulse, with a keen eye and passion for emerging talents and innovators - bringing new ideas into creative discussions

  • You are to think broadly (divergent creative thinking) about the opportunity space and able to distill your strategy into focused and actionable plans

  • You have a keen eye for content quality and are able to create structure and focus around programming for a consistent and coherent customer experience

  • You are open-minded, with an experimentation and data driven mindset - using clear user signals and insights to guide your roadmaps
